Rich In Friendship Foundation

Service & Uplift

The Rich In Friendship Foundation provides uplift and service in east Dallas County, Rowlett/Rockwall, Mesquite/Garland, and Greenville/Commerce areas.

Open Hearts

We partner with Open Hearts to provide backpacks to students in August before they go back to school. Our annual flapjack fundraiser supports students in the north Dallas areas of Garland and Mesquite.

Women Called Moses

The Delta Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi has pledged an annual financial commitment to Women Called Moses, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization primarily created to provide a secure shelter for battered women and their children.

Buckner Family Services

For several years Delta Xi has partnered with Buckner Center for Humanitarian Aid to provide backpacks, school supplies, and new/slightly used clothing for those in need. This year the chapter voted to extend their partnership with Bucker to include participation in their monthly food drives.
One of Buckner Charities outreach programs involves monthly food assistance that provides canned goods and non-perishable items to families in need. Each month, people go to Buckner Center for Humanitarian Aid in East Dallas to receive food for their family. The food pantry is emptied fast and food stocks deplete quickly. Delta Xi has stepped up to meet the challenge so all needs are filled.
Chapter members, fraternity brothers, volunteers and supporters contribute, dropping off items at the collection center during the facility’s normal operating hours.

Adopt-A-School

Delta Xi chapter established the Adopt-A-School program in Greenville ISD three years ago and has made a significant impact in a short amount of time. After approval from district superintendent Dr. Demetrus Liggins, Travis Elem/6th Grade Center was identified as a campus in need of support. Delta Xi sprung into action, raising $1,000 during the inaugural kickoff flapjack fundraiser in conjunction with Applebee’s.
Since that time we have suported the campus by supplying much needed backpacks, supplies and serving as guest speakers during career day. After the onset of Covid-19, we were aslo able to provide wifi extders to staff teaching at home to boost their internet connectivity for remote instruction.
